Healthcare startup, Vault, approached us at Elevate Studios for design to funnel their users to their men’s healthcare packages. This engagement included a refresh of their digital brand presentation, marketing, and onboarding user experience.
Vault’s product team wanted to work quickly so I attended daily stand-ups and team meetings, worked extremely closely with their senior product manager, and operated autonomously as an auxiliary product designer for their team. The first thing we tackled was their homepage and regional landing pages.
Vault onboarding took the form of a muti-path healthcare quiz that would display men’s health factoids, engage the user with different question interactions, and display relevant data visualizations. Results of this quiz were gated behind an email form allowing Vault to establish a relationship whether or not the user proceeded with their services.
If the user continued on from the health quiz, they would be funneled to appointment creation. Being in startup mode and only available in specific regions, considerations were made in iterating this step to complete the booking through existing appointment UX and to maintain a relationship with users not in an Vault-active region.
After making an appointment, a branded trigger email series was used to make the first Vault experience as smooth as possible. Vault would email pre-appointment in order to remind the patient of their upcoming appointment and capture any necessary health information. Post-appointment, users would receive a follow-up email setting up further interaction and what to expect next. This would continue the Vault relationship and subscription into the future.
Elevate and Vault’s relationship maintained its high velocity as we worked to target additional interactions throughout their patient experience. The speed of iteration allowed by working with us, propelled Vault forward allowing them to pivot and adjust to the rapidly changing conditions of healthcare startup.
